ABOUT ORIGINAL MINNIE

Original Minnie is based in Lincolnshire, England, and all products are designed and handmade by Helen Mear.

I have loved art and craft for years, and I am fascinated by social history, especially interiors, textiles, and clothing design throughout the years.  In 2008 I completed a BA (Hons) Visual Arts by Negotiated Study, and now intend to continue being creative, developing products that will be enjoyed and treasured.

I enjoy using recycled / reclaimed / vintage materials wherever possible, believing this improves the intrinsic value of each product, as well as being more eco-friendly, reinventing old materials with a new life, and increasing the individuality of the finished items. 

As each product is handmade as well, if you like something a bit different from the 'norm', or mass produced items, I hope you will like Original Minnie ...
